Just found a new site looks good for connecting families/parents without any older relatives like grandparents together.
I know they do this in Australia and it works well. A friend uses it.

I'd be very wary. I see someone has mentioned safeguarding/DBS checks. Please be aware that you don't have to have a conviction to be a danger to children, some of the most dangerous people out there are those who haven't yet been caught!Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
I'd echo Ms Chocaholic. Also, it looks a very amateur website. But in theory it does sound like a lovely idea.0

The kind who wasn't lucky enough to have a family of his own?
Why would you think someone was a 'creepy old dude' just because he liked children? Abuse can be carried out by young or old... There is a very real difference between an innocent wish to engage with others and a perverse sexual interest. I wish people would be less hysterical.
That said, as with any online activity, people need to exercise caution about meeting strangers.... but not everyone is a pervert waiting to pounce!:hello:0 -
I'd be more worried for the safety of some of the older people rather than the children!0

There are risks woth everything, but people are connected together all the time and alot of happiness is created. If you looked at the negative side all the time nothing would happen.
