Anyone had dealings with these people Acorn Claim Assist (http://www.acornppiclaims.com/home). They charge 12.5% (inclusive) which seems very reasonable.
I know I can claim PPI myself for free but I just don't need the extra hassle at the moment - a lot of personal problems at the moment.

That is not reasonable. 12.5% plus VAT. So, on a £3000 redress, they get £450 just for sticking a stamp on the envelope to the address to use the free of charge complaints process.I know I can claim PPI myself for free but I just don't need the extra hassle at the moment - a lot of personal problems at the moment.
What makes you think that using a claims company will be less hassle?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
You'll still have to provide all the information and fill in the complaint forms yourself. It's just as much "hassle" whatever you do!I know I can claim PPI myself for free but I just don't need the extra hassle at the moment - a lot of personal problems at the moment.
In addition, any reason why you have included a link to the company's website?0 -
