Post Office Credit Card-Don't Bother

I applied for and was given a Post Office Credit Card. I asked for a balance transfer to be made (reason for applying). They eventually told me that it had failed as I had supplied incorrect information. I rang them and confirmed the details and just to be sure I also sent them a payment slip for the credit card concerned. Two weeks later they told me it had failed again. Same letter as before suggesting i send a payment slip. The first time I rang them I was told that I had supplied either the wrong security information for either my date of birth or mothers maiden name! Well unless I was completely incompetent when filling out the online form I think I know both these details without having to look them up! I had to ring again and was asked different security questions which I got right - hurray. Despite having proven that it was my account they wouldn't tell me what was wrong with the information I had provided before. I also wrote and asked for this and the credit card details which had been 'wrong' but they have never bothered to respond to my letter (sent 4 weeks ago). I am cancelling the card now having not used it at all. By far the worst service i have ever had from a credit card provider

Close the account. Wait 4 months and apply somewhere else.
