The first Assassins Creed game did it for me. At the time everything was so new, there was never an open world like this that i'd played before, apart from WoW.

I pretty much just spent my first time playing running around killing guards. After I had gotten over the initial excitement, I enjoyed the storyline too!

I loved Ocarina of Time, it was even better on the 3DS. I also loved the original Tomb Raider series (much better than the new ones). Super Street Fighter 4, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Resident Evil 4 and the Mario Galaxy games are also favourites.

I think the hitman series does it for me, I think it has all the elements of gaming I love rolled into one

Blood Money was Hitman at its best! I hope the next in the series goes more Blood Money than Absolution. The checkpoints and more linear layouts killed it for me :(

Love the Galactica board game :D Could you recommend any expansions? I find that Cylons tend to have very little to do once they are outed at the end-game.

Well, personally I enjoy the expansions alot and own them all, only caution I'd give is between them they creep the level of complexity up another notch which, since I play pretty regularly with a group and one of the things I love about the game is the number of ways you can be devious/creative with the game mechanics but it's definitely less of a game for the faint hearted at that point

    Pegasus:
Pros: Fixes the 'rather strong' base game cylon locations, Adds Pegasus which gives the humans another big boost, Adds treachery cards which give the cylons a little more to do after revealing.

Cons: Pegasus Cylon leader mechanic and sympathetic cylon mechanics don't really work (neither did the base game one really) so it's still more of a 5 player only game for ideal play. New Caprica destination is fine once in a while for variety but is an unpopular destination for good reasons (makes the end of the game rather teidious)

    Exodus:
Pros: Cylon fleet board is a good change from atack cards and makes the cylon fleet less random (but slightly prone to being manipulated from both sides). The ionian nebular destination and allies is a very popular destination and adds a fun extra intrigue layer (is this guy screwing around because they're a cylon or do they actually just have a real trauma token problem type stuff). MK7 vipers are cool.

Cons: New 'revealed cylon' locations are rather strong if the humans are inexperienced.

    Daybreak:
Pros: Finally fixes the 4, 6 and 7 player game balance with a new cylon leader mechanics, the mutineer card (also the 3 player game now works quite well with more ways into/out of the brig thru mutiny cards, new skill card abilities, character abilities etc). Assault vipers are quite fun, new treachery cards give revealed cylons even more to do. More cylon attack cards also rebalance the crisis deck proportions of attack card /other crisis cards when not using Exodus. Earth destination is ok too.

Cons: Few really as it kinda rounds off the other two expansions and makes a lot of previously unbalances stuff finally work quite well, pushes the level of complexity on all fronts tho.....
