NEXT price difference

Hi, hopefully I have the correct section.

A few weeks I brought an item from NEXT in store, the item was not available in store so NEXT ordered me the item and told me that it would be available in 2-3 weeks. This was no problem for me so I paid for the item on a debit card for £119.99. I've also checked my statement which has deducted £119.99p.

Fast forward to yesterday which I received a message from NEXT saying the item was at my local NEXT store to collect. I went and collected the item and opened the package when I got home. The item is correct but the paperwork (customer order No.) has £60 for the price, i'm guessing this has something to do with NEXT sale.

Im happy with the item but I cant help feeling I paid double. Although I was happy with the original higher price at the time. I might contact NEXT to see what they say.

Does anybody have any experience on this? Thanks

They have a good returns policy, use it then buy it back.

First speak to CS and see if they will just return the difference to you.

In theory you have no rights, you made an offer it was accepted job done. Stores policy now takes precedence, what ever that may be.

Actually. If the invoice and all paperwork state payment was £60 they might actually be in trouble for taking double the payment.

Its not the usual case of a sticker on the item saying its cheaper, its the actual paperwork according to the OP which is a whole different issue.

    Thanks for replying.

I took the item back to NEXT and the women explained that the lower price of £60 was the sale price. I brought the item at full retail (120) before the sale had started and the paperwork should not have been sent to me with the lower sale price on.
She was very polite and insisted that my bill of £120 was correct, I agree with her but after seeing the lower price I wish I had waited till sale but then I don't fancy queuing for NEXT to open before 5am in a morning.
Anyway I asked if I could return the item for full refund and then buy it back at the lower price, she said yes! so result I got to keep my item and have £60 back in my pocket.

Seems as though Next values its customers! Good result!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
