Good Morning everyone, another hot day down here so we were up early, lurcher has been walked, housework done, He Who Knows has been to the allotment and is just back and I've done all the housework, cleared and washed down the fridge and picked and processed an enormous amount of runner beans to go into the freezer, PHEW!!!
I'm going to W8rose this morning to pick up what I need for DD and family coming this weekend, I'll go on the bus but He Who Knows will collect as I won't be able to carry it all on my own.
It's too hot to cook here so cheaty day and cheese on toast for lunch and pub quiz this evening so they can feed us and I'll have a night off.
Hope you're all managing in this heat, poorlies have my sympathy as it's bad enough being poorly in normal weather but in this It's impossible so big hugs for all of you and hope you're not too uncomfortable.
Have a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -

Hope everyone is well.

I was up at 0650 today ready for the a$da order. I had 1.5 hours to myself before any child surfaced. It was lovely.
Small child has been a lot better this morning.
We are going to my sisters today so that will be nice.
I've had a shower. Just need to finish my coffee and get on with my day.
Love, hugs and spoons

Morning all,
We were rudely awakened by the van alarm going off at 5.20,:mad:got up after 15 mins was too hot to get back to sleep so was in the fields with Lyla at 10 to 6,lovely and peaceful and only saw 2 other women dogwalking. She had a good run round, there was a nice breeze and now she's up to no good in the garden- keeps digging in a little heather rockery.I can see we'll be replacing them when we leave this house.
My brother and niece are visiting at lunchtime,& my other brother is on holiday this week and may call too,not often we get together so that would be nice
Last nights antipasti/salad platter went down well with everyone. Not sure about tonights tea yet.I might jump in the car with DB and DN when they go and get a lift to the shops to pick up some bits. The fridge we have in this house is only small and I cant get a weeks worth of salad/veg in it so we've been shopping twice a week  If not it will be a frittata.
Have a nice day everybody x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all,
just a quick visit from me today as I'm busy with life. I did manage to catch up with your news late last night but it was a bit late to post.
Had an awful nights sleep due to hubby who was sneezing all night and kept me awake. I gave up trying to sleep at 3.30 am. I'll be on the coffee later just to keep my eyes open.
Submitted my meter readings yesterday to see how we stand with the utilities. We are only £35 in credit. I was hoping we were in credit by more since I'm not using the tumble dryer and the central heating was switched off weeks ago. I guess running 3 air con units are taking its toll on the energy consumption.
Need to go shopping today. Its my Grandsons first birthday on Sunday and I need to get him a pressie. I also still need to find something to look good in at his party on Saturday.
Hugs to TTFTM, thinking of you.
Onwards and forwards

Morning all,
Another beautiful day here. No washing to do so hubby can take the line down which irritates him strung across the garden. We had one of those whirly things but it only dried stuff on the outside:eek: he will just have to cope:D
I'm planning on measuring my inches today to keep me motivated, still have a couple of stone to go and don't want to get complacent.
We have to go in the loft today. Will open the skylight and hope for a breeze but know it will be hot. Want to get DD stuff out ready for collection on Saturday morning. She would do it herself but it will be a much more organised affair if we do it. Honestly such a clever girl but totally unorganised and scatty when it comes to practical stuff lol.
Lunch will be leftover spicy rice today. Cooked the rice as normal then added to eggs to the frying pan tipped in the rice, a little sesame oil, soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce, wash delish.
No idea for tea but SW chips will be involved.
Don't forget there is a £5 Aldi voucher in today's mirror.
I need to do a good food shop either today or tomorrow, everything is getting a bit low. I've also run out if skimmed milk for me, and I really don't like any other kind.
Enough waffle, better get on. Bfn xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Managed to get the oven cleaned today but can I ask what people use to clean the oven shelves? I've done my best with them but they still have burnt on marks stuck to bits and I couldn't get those off. I didn't want to take a knife to them but would love to get them back to their original clean look2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000

JLHMD I've got a special oven shelf soaking gadget from Lakeland Plastics and I soak the shelves in there starting in hot water with biological washing powder in and leave them overnight. In the morning I use a stainless steel scrubber to get off the hard to shift bits and if they need a bit of extra abrasion I use Astonish Oven Cleaner Paste, which is 99p in my local 99p shop and that does the trick. A brillo pad is very good if you don't use a stainless steel scrubber.0

Evening all,
Been a bit busy the past couple of days and didn't find the time to post/read properly.
Firstly hugs to those who'd like them and I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather.
Yesterday was the last day at school and us girls went to the pub which is becoming a bit of an end of term ritual
DS2 has been working with DH but wanted to have today off to go and do some shopping, so I was the apprentice today. We were stripping a bathroom, ruddy hard work and very hot! I hope DS decides to go to work tomorrow.
After not being able to find a cheap enough holiday and DS2 deciding he wants to come with us, we have booked our flights to go and stay in my cousins house in Spain. My Aunt and Uncle live on the piece of land in a small bungalow and it will be nice to see them again. Mind you after all these air disasters I am a bit worried.
Have a good evening all.0 -
Had a lovely time at the BBQ last night and I recorded the opening of the Commonweaalth games, glad I di what a waste of three and a half hours.
As for turning it into a chugging show I thought it was annoying and tacky.
And if they keep it up I will never watch it again.
Another scorcher today, my hair is wringing wet again, I hate being hot and sweaty
It is too hot too do much so I have just been having a pottering sort of day.
Went to Aldi this afternoon and sitting in a disabled bay was a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost:eek:

I've only ever been in a Rolls once; many years ago when I was working as a barmaid, one of the regulars gave me a lift home in his Rolls.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
