Questions about PIP

Hello,
I receive DLA for my Aspergers Syndrome and depression/anxiety. I applied for DLA twice before finally getting accepted a few years ago, after someone from the National Autistic Society helped me fill it in.
I'm anxious at the thought of the medical assessment in 2015 (?) for PIP because I can usually cope quite well with structured one-to-one situations. I really struggle in social situations with a large group of people, such as at a party. I even struggled at my AS social support group and stopped going because of it.
I'm worried they're going to think I'm a big fraud and turn me down. Tbh, I felt guilty at being given the DLA, even though I was honest on the application. If you fail the PIP can they make you repay the DLA you received before, because they'll think you didn't deserve it?

Oh I see. So do they use your previous DLA claim as evidence, as well as the new PIP, or is it entirely based on the new form/assessment?0

Your PIP assessment is a completely new slate to start from, the assessment criteria are also slightly different to DLA. Failing a PIP assessment would have no bearing on any DLA payment you have received.0

I can't say I've heard of that happening. Some people (ie, those of us on indefinite awards) were awarded DLA years ago and by the time PIP comes around for them, their needs may well have changed.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

transfers for most people will start in 2015 but may take 3 years, unless the new govt makes changes, and some will be paper only exercises with no face to face assessments0
