i came across some paper work relating to a proscuation for no tv license . after going to the magistrates court and having to defend my self i noticed in the form sent to me regarding the court date and relised that there was no specific address for the issuer of the pending proessucation, having pointed this out to the magisterate and his associates whom ignored my plea and was fined £85 .while i had to accept this on the chin . i wonder if anyone has come across this and i wonder if i was to challenge this what would the chances be to win any such case .

On the one hand I'd just say pay the TV licence bill lad to avoid all the hassle
On the other hand the TV licences are dodgy as hell and good on you 4 battling them over it...0 -
Or except that people are required to pay the TV licience and as you found out by trying to doge payment you ended up with a fine. £85 pound wasn't too bad some have to pay £1000. To attempt to challenge the ruling (again) you will have to employ a solicitor which will cost you more than the £85 and with basically no chance of winning you will have to pay further costs.0

The OP won't be taken very seriously if they can't even spell licence.0

That is assuming that OP is LIABLE to pay 4 a TV licence....0 -

As they didn't make that point I take it they were. If not I imagine they would have mentioned that they didn't require a licence, as it's quite a major point.
The part I don't understand isi came across some paper work relating to a proscuation for no tv license
To me that indicates it had been sent to them previously and then ignored/lost/forgotton about until such time as they were tidying up/looking for something else.0 -

Glad you got fined through trying such a petty argument.
I pay mine and hardly ever watch live TV so why don't you pay yours?0
