Help with removing defaults on credit report
Default
Does anyone know of a recent tried and proven way of removing defaults from a credit report?
I have two defaults one from Santander dated 2010 another from pay day loans dated 2012, didn't understand how important it was to keep a clean credit history till recently.
I never got any letters or correspondence until I was being chased by a third party as I was in the military. From reading others tales and a bit of reading on line is this my out, can I go down the route of the companies not making correct communications with me.
If this is the route or isn't, can someone please help me find a way out.

If they are factual, very unlikely to get them removed.
Are the dates reasonable given the way the accounts were handled?
Did you not get the letters as you moved? You should have provided them an updated address or used mail redirection. So that won't help as long as they sent info to the last known address. You would need a subject access request to each creditor to find that out.
Why do you need them removed?:beer:0 -
Has anyone got a tried and proven method of removing a default from a credit file?
Would be grateful for some help.0 -
You need to explain your situation more, if you genuinely defaulted then why should it get removed? Your credit file is meant to be an accurate picture of your financial handling.
The response to your earlier post here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5023220 is correct.0
