Can anybody advise me on what to do?
I have a rather strange predicament, I did a fixed price gas & electric deal a year ago with Sainsburys Energy which is due to end on the 31st July and I wish to look for a new deal.
The predicament arises because when I took out the fix 12 months ago , I recieved a letter from Sainsburys energy informing me that as a thank you for taking out a contract with them I would recive a £210 credit on my first gas bill after the 12 months fix.
So I am effectively locked in with their gas for a further 3 months ,so I cannot take advantage of some of the dual fixes out their at present.
Can anybody suggest a way around this ?

£210 credit? Not heard of that. Did you take it out in store?

I did this deal via our local council who put it out to tender on behalf of interested ratepayers.
It was a brilliant deal but they are not repeating it this year.0 -
