Can anyone help ?
I have two claims with lloyds (relating to two different accounts)- submitted at the same time - they have sent me an offer letter for one which i signed & wrote claim number on it - they paid the full amount of £2,700 into my account - excellent
They have not offered a settlement for the second claim so I phoned them (as per previous advice given on this site - thanx) & they said this would be sent out - i have not recieved all i have got is a letter saying they will defend...
They have now sent a further letter relating to claim one saying please write to the court & tell them i have settled - fine i will do this
My concern is that they will say that i have settled with reference to the first claim (even though they are seperate & submitted on the same date so no order preference) & i can no longer seek settlement on the second claim due to signing the first form - am i worrying for nothing and could they actually do this? does anyone have any legal advice?
or
has anyone got a similar experience or know how to handle?
i spoke to the FO and they said they would treat each claim seperatley but that they are not the courts........
please help me if you can - thanks!

Do you have 2 different claim numbers? Also do you have a copy of the letter you signed? I suspect its Lloyds trying one of their cheeky trick to put you off, along the same lines as the first letter people are receiving saying you're entitled to nothing because you didn't break your contract.
I would call the court and see what they say.

Hiya,
Thanks for your response - i feel better reading it
Yes I do have two different claim numbers - i am hoping this is enough but i have been sent a "direction letter" by the judge and Lloyds have responded with the standard letter saying that they defend it...........
I've just written a letter to the court stating that the first case is closed but pointed out that i have yet to receieve an offer with ref to other claim and that i have all documents he requires (same judge for both claims) ie schedule with all charges and an explanation which have also been sent to the bank. The second direction states that there will be no hearing????
so confusing - wish i had taken a law degree instead of business ha ha !Super Saver Wannabe:money:0
