Credit card checker

Options
Just tried the Martin credit card checker as I was waiting for a phone call and had 2 minutes spare.

Failed because I had apparently not entered a valid date of birth.

I have had the same date of birth for over 74 years.

??????????????

Used the drop down boxes on the site. Cannot enter any other way.

It's not a drop down menu, you have to enter it dd/mm/yyyy

Maybe it thought you were too old for a credit card.

I just checked mine an had a 10%-90% chance of getting a MBNA card, I could have guessed that before doing the checker.

It is a drop down list. And it allows you to select birth dates from 1915 onwards.

Could just be a blip, did you try it a second time OP?

I tried again and failed. Then I put my wife's date of birth in, she is some 6 months younger than me and I got an answer.

Oh for the days before internet caused all these problems.

    Bye bye everyone.

    How odd.
I'm on a different PC now to earlier and I followed the same link but got a totally different screen to the one I got earlier.

May be I had an older version in my web browser history on the other computer (that screen was mostly purple and had drop down boxes, unlike the mostly white screen on the version I can see now, where obviously you enter the digits)

I think it depends how you get to the checker. If you go through the checker of the individual sections (best for balance transfers, bad credit, purchases etc) then you enter the date. If you go through the overview of every credit card it's a drop down menu (purple screen).
