Bankers insurance??

Hi, I really hope someone can help or point me in the right direction,
What is bankers insurance? I had a bank account with RBS from 1997-2007 but received a letter out of the blue from Robinson Way earlier this year telling me I had to pay 450 pounds (for a monthly dd of 5.99 plus interest for bankers insurance - whatever that is!) which has been going out of my account from then until this year (at least 7 years!). I thought I had closed the account but I cant prove that. Both companies are investigating my dispute but I am not getting anywhere and Robinson way are still chasing me and am feeling quite anxious about the whole thing.
The dd is for "bankers insurance" but can anyone tell me what this is? Is this the same as PPI? I really want to clear this debt and will (reluctantly) need to find the money if I am liable for it but I am sure this is not something I have ever signed up for.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Post Credit Crunch approx. 1997 I used to pay for an insurance to cover my income/ payment protection if you like.
When the credit crunch occurred the premiums went up too high.
That was a company known as Bankers Insurance.
    Hope this helps.
However my problem is I need to find their UK Address :(

I know this is an old thread. But just in case it's any use to any body.

The FCA show a Bankers Insurance Company Limited registered between 1991 and 2007 as a trading name of Assurant General Insurance Limited.

The DD shows the name of the payee.

Assurant are a "leading provider of mobile and consumer electronics protection". So my guess would be that the OP bought a mobile phone (or something) and signed up for some kind of insurance which they have forgetten about.
