CCA - Littlewoods

Hi
I currently have an amount outstanding with Littlewoods of approx £2k.
The account is currently being handled by NDR.

The lowest payment plan they will accept is over 20 months which I can not afford to pay.

I have had the account for 10 years now (2004). However in that period I have purchased some items on buy now pay later in 2011.

Do you know if by agreeing to the BNPL this will affect a CCA request? Also I am pretty sure that NDR will pass on the debt soon, shall I try a CCA request now? or when the debt gets passed?

Thanks in advance

Regardless of what they say they will agree to, are you still paying them the amount you can afford?

It may be that you ticked a box to agree to new terms and therefore a new CCA in 2011, not sure on that.

I would send a CCA request now and see what they reply with.

    NDR are useless.

CCA request is the way to go.

What's it showing on your credit file?

Are they adding interest and charges?

Only way to deal with NDR is by complaining, in writing, stating they will not accept what you can afford to pay and are not treating you fairly.

I got some charges refunded this way.

In the end, I gave up paying and they sold the account on pretty quick to Capquest.

No CCA in sight for mine, and I also had BNPL items. Don't think it matters, it's like signing a new CCA when you buy something on a credit card, don't think that's how it works. I did get one default notice per item ordered, 20 odd, but research on another site confirmed it's still only one account, with a credit limit, therefore one default.

Thanks HB - Really helpful -
i managed to pay one instalment but like you have decided to stop paying them anything.

I am going to do a CCA letter today and send it off.

If I have any further queries after they respond would it be ok to PM you?

    Thanks again

NDR will probably pass it to LowLife.

you pay what YOU can afford, not what some two bit DCA scumbag WANTS you to pay.

If the CCA letter I have just sent comes back and they can not find my original paperwork I wont be making any payments to them.

  • Hi all, I had a response, and they sent back my signed CCA form.
NDR who currently have my account are still not budging on the £108 per month repayment which I can not afford.
I will wait until the debt gets passed on and agree a smaller fee with the DCA.

Ok. Regarding the payment amount, send them a written complaint about demanding unreasonable payment amounts when you have explained you cannot afford what they want.

Explain that this unreasonable behaviour will be reported to the FOS unless they resolve your complaint.

If nothing else, bugging in them with complaints makes them sell your account quicker.

Littlewoods are very sneaky where credit agreements are concerned, have you read the agreement properly ? is it for the account or a single BNPL item ? you need to check account numbers etc.
