can't post or send pm's using firefox

i guys
I hope someone can come up with some suggestions as to what is wrong. I always use ifirefox and can post pm's and post on threads without a problem.
But since Thursday last week every pm I send is blank but i get a message that its too short. Every time i try and post on a thread i get the same message.
The only way I can post is using google chrome which I really hate.
I have cleared internet cache (as this was recommended to me)
Anyone else have this trouble and what can I do to sort it.
