Quick Tax Credit Question - changing bank account

for as long as i have had CTC it has gone into my post office account. it would be easier for us for it to go into my husbands bank account. I f i call today (even though they havent done my renewal yet) and gave them the new info would next weeks payment go into the new account? thanks in advance

i get paid on a tuesday usually! we go away on the 12th august so wanted it done by then, assume payments will continue as normal as well? thanks

You would normally receive a "one off" payment too when the change is actioned which would go the new account. This will then reduce your ongoing payments slightly
