in Credit cards
OK, this is probably a really simple [STRIKE]stupid[/STRIKE] question, but I can't seem to figure it out.
I have just been accepted for a 123 credit card (It has just today shown up on the internet banking, I don't have cards for it yet). I applied for a card in my name and an additional one in my partners name. When I look on the recent transactions tab there is a drop down list that so far includes my card but I can not select the additional card. When I have received the cards and registered/activated them, will I be able to view all of the transactions across both cards or will I need to get paper bills?
Also I want to set them up to pay off in full each month. Do I need to do this just the once or separately for both cards?
I'm sure it will make a bit more sense once I get going with them, but I do like to panic in the meantime!
Thanks

You will definitely see all transactions, and you'll see them together. Some cards indicate what card was used, some don't. Don't know about Santander in particular.

Santander do.
You will have one balance owing which will be the total for both cards. The breakdown of transactions will give you the last 4 digits of the card that was used so you know which card paid for what.
But otherwise, it's just the same as having one credit card, they see it as one account and you have one direct debit to pay it. There isn't an amount owed on each card, just a total owed on the account (and it is all owed by you - the additional cardholder isn't liable for any of the debt).0 -
Great, thank you both for that. It has made it a lot clearer.0

The AmEx system is fairly good, dont know about Santendar, in that you as the account holder will see all transactions for all cards on the account. Each one is marked as to which card, at the bottom is the total balance and the new spend per card, and you can easily filter transactions by card.
Additional cards can also sign up for online banking but when they log in they only see the transactions they have made using their card and their total per month. They cannot see a "current balance" as payments arent split by card but at least it allows them to track their own spending and if they are to reimburse the main accountholder they can see what they owe themselves. They cannot see other cards spending nor the overall balance etc.0
