Equifax membership payment.

Options
Hi can anyone offer any advice on this. 14 months ago I cancelled my monthly membership with equifax. When cancelling they offered a identity watch protection package. I thought they said it was free but they tell me now it's only free for 12 months then £2.99 per month thereafter. Fair enough I can live with that however during that 12 months my debit card expired and I got an email saying they couldn't take my payment. Not wanting to have the subscription I ignored the email however I have since noticed 2 seperate payments have come out of my account using my new debit card details.
I haven't given them these numbers so how can they possibly do this. Is it possible they have accessed my credit report information to get my current debit card? If so surely that's against data protection?
Any advice would be appreciated

No it is not possible that they have accessed your credit report information to get your debit card details, and in fact your debit card details do not appear on your credit report.

The bank may have honoured the CPA (continuous payment authority) using your old card details.
