JSA between leaving school and starting Uni?

Hi
My daughter has left school and despite looking for work, has not yet found anything. Will she be able to claim JSA once she is 18 (soon) or will the job centre turn her away as she intends to go to uni if she gets the grades? Obviously she will still be trying to look for work in the meantime.

If she is in full time education they not give her a penny but you can still claim for her till she's 20. My mum got money for me up till my 20th birthday. She could get a part time job. Otherwise the job centre will tell her what they told me " we can't help you unless you got a kid"
    Good luck! Xx

Your circumstances were obviously different as the OPs daughter is planing on going to University so all child related benefits would stop. I assume you were doing some non-advanced education for your mum still to be able to claim
