I am thinking of putting a considerable amount into a Shawbrook 3 year bond, however on researching the internet I have discovered that there is a Shawbrook bank clone. How can I distinguish the real bank from the fraud one?

There was one last year, but seems to have been vanished by the FCA (after a bit of prodding by Shawbrook). Their cert is (still) registered as Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank which it was up to around 3 years ago...0
