                    Hello lovely people,
I had PPI with AL and Blackhorse in 2006, both say there no records on the system for me. I looked on my credit file and no account numbers for them.
I have wrote to the archive department at AL and nothing this was referred to the FO but they looked into newer loans with no PPI.
I am very aware time is ticking, what else could I do to reclaim this.
Bank statements don't go back this far either
I am tempted to go with a claim company just as a last resort, what do they do which I cant?
Any recommendations ?

Actually, you have nothing and nowhere to turn so why not? as long as you do not pay anything upfront, so what if they get 30%. You wouldnt need to worry about losing out.0 -
CMCs use the same complaints process you would use. So, what do you think they can magic up?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

If you have no records and the bank has no records (the only 2 parties who have / had copies) what do you think a CMS will do? Wave a magic wand and create statements from nowhere?
CMS cannot do anything that you can't do yourself.
Look at it like this:
You do the complaint:
You collect all the details of the complaint
You post it off
You deal with bank and get 100% of compensation
CMS do the complaint
You collect all the details of the complaint
They post it off
They deal with bank and take 30-50% of compensation
Do you really believe losing a huge chunk of any compensation is worth the price of a stamp (which is all the CMS does for you)?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I notice you've made so far five posts and in four of them you've been singing the praises of using a claims company. This is a money saving site, that's why none of the regulars here will ever condone or recommend the use of one and why every time you try to recommend them, you will (quite rightly) be shouted down.Actually, you have nothing and nowhere to turn so why not?
The OP stands to lose 30% of any redress. A CMC can do nothing the OP cannot do alone, easily and for free.as long as you do not pay anything upfront, so what if they get 30%. You wouldnt need to worry about losing out.0 -
