Getting a Balance Transfer Deal - Barclaycard

Hi folks.

I recently was able to pay a decent chunk of money off a BarclayCard. I was hoping I might then be able to use the credit I now have on that account to to do a balance transfer from a couple of other cards. I thought I might be able to get a 0% deal, and transfer from my Abbey/Santander credit card to the Barclaycard, and therefore avoid Abbey's interest rate. However, my online account's offers and services page with Barclaycard hasn't offered me any transfer deals.

It is possible to "convince" the card company to give you a 0% transfer deal? Any tips if so? Or should I look elsewhere...?

Many thanks :D

  • Get it down to a zero balance. Have had a zero balance for 2 months and have had a 0% offer for 2 months running.
