Really? They know your salary? How long you've been with employer? How did they get that information?

They can see my bank balance which would lead me to believe that they can see money going in every month
An amount and for how long. Really?!?

Instead of being condescending and trying to show what a super clever awesome forum captain you are, you should go back to genuinely trying to help people, is that not what this forum is about.

Thankyou to the others for you comments/advice

Are you sure? I think they can see a snapshot of a balance, but they don't see transactions.

They can't see money going in every month. They can see differences in balances, but that doesn't mean how much in or out. They certainly do not report on your salary.

Hope this response meets your expectations.

Without that last sentence it would of been fine! Im sure when you started on here it wasn't to try and inflate your ego by trying to show how clever you are, im sure it was to help.
Read your post to the guy asking if his girlfriend voting would affect his credit score, going and read it again, its not very nice, the guy was only asking as like many of us doesn't know much about any of this!
Try being nice or not answering, otherwise people will just think your a merchant banker ;)

Try being more thick skinned or not using internet forums perhaps?! Forums are full of anonymous people who can say pretty much what they like how they like. If some people find that difficult to cope with then perhaps public internet forums are not the right place for them - stick to asking friends and family for advice.

Apologies if you take this as a 'not nice' reply, but hey...!

When people ask the same thing again and again, showing a total lack of etiquette by not bothering to read existing threads on the front page, then I reserve the right to type in a slightly brisk manner.

Why though? Why bother at all? If someone asks a question that has already been asked then direct them to it. That would be nice. New people probably cant find their way round, I couldnt find the answer I was looking for.
Yes I accept forums can be hostile places but I thought this one was here to help, you expect it from people with no posts but senior members you would expect to help
Not trying to be nasty, just giving a newbie point of view

If you look at the thread in question I did offer advice and did help.
