Which month? Do you mean an average across the year. ie total consumption divided by 12? (Which is meaningless) or month by month. It all depends on weather for me. If it's hot I use air conditioning, if it's cold I use heating, both affect my consumption dramatically, where as TV use, lights etc make !!!!!! all difference.0

You do not say what size of property you live in
You do not say whether you use Hot Water, Storage Heaters, economy 7 etc.
I have cut my electricity bill by £300 per annum by not heating the water tank, I just have the shower heat as I go and I used the kettle for washing up.
I do not use the storage heaters, had to decide to eat not heat.
I gather the average for a 2 bed flat that has Economy 7 is around £65 a month, mine is significantly lower (between £30 and £50).Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Could be anything. The national average for electricity is 3,300 per year but what is the average? It is probably a family and that family house may be 3 bedrooms and may not have the same level of insulation as yours. The average house also uses gas to heat the water and for space heating and that really varies quite s lot. Some like it hot and some like me don't mind putting another layer on and wrap up with a blanket when watching the TV on the sofa.
I would if I were you read your meter weekly and use a site called iMeasure to log those figures. You can then compare your usage with others and over the year you can see what difference the weather makes to your usage.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
