Parking solutions 24, Roxburghe, Gladstones

I have 2 parking tickets from Parking Solutions24, only 1 of which is being followed up. The original PS24 letter had been followed by 4 letters trying to reclaim costs from Roxburghe, recently followed by a 3rd party letter from Gladstone Solicitors advising me to contact Roxburghe to make payment.
How genuine are these letters? I have read through all threads & get the impression I should not have ignored the original correspondence due to law change but naively I did expecting them to drop it.
What is the likelihood of a CCJ being issued &/or the cost/consequences of it?
Help!

Have you read the Newbie thread post 4 several time a to get a handle on the chain of letters you will get so that you don't panic each time?

You will only get a CCJ if the PPC (not any of the debt collectors) take you to court, you lose the case and are asked to pay the original PCN and costs and you fail to do so within a certain time.

So chances are slim to none. But they do have 6 years to chase this up.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.
  • I am more than prepared to continue to ignore the letters due to previously doing so... As long as I know the chances of perusal are slim. As long as i'm prepared to pay to CCJ (if thats what it resorts to) then your advice would be to do so?
My expenses currently stand at £114 so if a CCJ is ordered then I will pay this on top of court fees?
There is no photographic evidence of me ever being in the PS24 carpark & the ticket is dated back in March.

    Thank you

Just read the NEWBIES thread, post #4 of it (near or at the top of this forum as it's a sticky thread). You should have appealed but if not then you can either appeal late or ignore the letters. If a court claim is started (rare) then come back for help with a defence, these are beatable and the typical amount is only around £150 even if you lose (no CCJ if you lost then paid, so no real risk to you by ignoring this for now).

Never heard of PS 24 trying court but there's always a chance for up to 6 years with any 'debt' so keep ALL the letters in a file just in case, and if local, get evidence in the form of a few photos of the (no doubt!) bad/small font/unreadable signage/lack of entrance signs, that sort of thing. PPCs do change signs every so often so get current ones for your file.

If you want to appeal late then the Newbies sticky tells you how. You won't get a POPLA code (unlikely) but if you feel happier stating your case ONCE in a robust letter, then that's an option. It looks more reasonable on your part, in front of a Judge if ever you have a court hearing but it won't stop the letters though.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
