Maternity leave and holiday allowance

Hiya, im new here(I hope I have put this in the right place!) and looking for a little advice which I havent been able to find anywhere else, so a friend recommended i try here.
I have been on maternity leave since 19/01/2007, so my SMA ends 19/07/07. However im not going back to work so I about to hand in my notice.
My holiday year works from january to january, and I havent taken any holidays. Am I entitled to be paid for the days holidays I have accrued, just like I would if I had been at work. I am so cofused as it says nothing in my contract about it.
Any help would be appreciated, also, if anyone knows where the 'rules' are kept that would be great. I work for a small company and I am the first person to have a baby and I had to research my own maternity entitlements as no-one in the company knew, so if I could give them something official that would be great.

I've a feeling you continue to accrue holiday for the first 26 weeks of your maternity leave, so I believe you should get paid for them - I'll see if I can find a link."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Snaggles is right - you accure the holiday as normal.
You can ask your employers if you can either take all your accrual before Jan, have a lump sum pay out or carry over - they must do one.
