    Id put it in a bottle in the domestic waste. This is probbably as "wrong" as pouring it down the drain but similarly there is all sorts in the general rubbish.

    I tip mine onto my gravel driveway behind the house. If it stops stuff growing there, so much the better. But I am at least half a mile away from any watercourses, so it will be degraded long before it could harm the 'environment'.


    As others have said, one person doing this is OK, but a thousand doing it is not. If there was somewhere to take it locally (as with waste oil) I would do so, but ... nothing.

    Yup, my local recycling site staff say the same thing - bottle it and domestic waste it. It appears that antifreeze isn't recycleable so they'd rather put it with the other nasties that can't be recycled.

    yup, my local recycling site staff say the same thing - bottle it and domestic waste it. It appears that the local council can't be bothered to recycle antifreeze [strike]isn't recycleable[/strike] so they'd rather put it with the other nasties that can't be recycled.
