What material is it ? If leather or similar, wipe it up. If fabric, remove the cover and wash it, if it's washable. It's a good idea to wash all the covers together, so if they fade slightly they'll all fade the same, and you won't notice it.
If the cream has soaked into the sponge upholstery, then use a solution of warm water and ordinary biological washing powder. The enzymes will stop it from smelling. Rinse it thoroughly, and leave it outside for a few hours on a nice sunny day for it to dry properly.
Hope this helps.0 -
When I bought an Italian sofa 5 years ago, I was told to use Huggies baby wipes only and this is on a leather sofa. The reason is because some of the other makes of wipes have a certain alcohol in them and can ruin the leather.
Five years later I can say that my sofa is as good as new, I only ever clean it with huggies babywipes!0 -
Baby wipes do more damage than any other cleaning product. Our technicians are kept very busy every day with leather that has been ruined with them. Certain types of leather will stand up better than others but it is very dangerous to generalise (and expensive to fix if used on the wrong type)
