Defaulted by barclaycard then again for same debt by Lowell

So I defaulted on 20/5/2010 with my barclaycard and a balance of £324.
Then Lowell Portfolio Defaulted me again for the same date and balance.
Can they do this? The debt is now being paid monthly to Lowell but although the balance is going down on Equifax there are no monthly green tabs just the red default so i feel like theyre having 2 bites of the cherry

Once it's defaulted it stays defaulted until it is settled. Even when settled it stays on for 6 years from default date.
Have you got 2 defaults on your report? You should only have one, if your paying it to lowell then the Barclaycard one shouldn't be on your report.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life,as long as I die next Tuesday.0 -
Yes i have a default from barclaycard and then one with Lowell with identical data on it.
Im paying lowell monthly now and the balance is correct but there is no monthly updates as it just says defaulted0 -
As long as the first one says assigned and the date and amount are identical, then I think that's ok.
If in doubt, raise a query with the CRA.:beer:0
