It's amazing how many people don't bother ringing.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »I don't know why the Lloyds representative bothers to post - its stock answer is always to ring up to get things sorted.
Or don't think about what questions to ask before they do ring.
Or when they do ring and do ask the right questions get told to visit a branch. Who then know nothing about it.0 -

Hi guys
Have been out of the loop for a day or so BUT having been back to the Branch they produced an email they have had from "the Big Chief" confirming that my letter IS genuine and the loan has been "cleared " but still showing on On line Banking......expiation given is that the old Loans are being dealt with on a different "operating Platform " and it could take some time for the internet site to be updated. have kept endless copies of the email !!!
Still don't fully understand any of this, but appreciate earlier comments0 -
Thanks for the update. Makes me wonder whether they just decided that it was cheaper to close the old loans than to continue to operate the old system they were on.0

Hi Phabat
Can' t get to grips with the "private message system"
However same result as you and now have paper Statement to confirm cleared balance
Everyone at Bank very tight lipped as to whys/ wherefores
Won't look gift horse in mouth
Really weird....thus sort of thing doesn't happen to me !!
Enjoy
Kindest regards

Sorry to hear my colleagues weren't able to clarify when you called. If staff member in branch wasn't able to provide info either, I can only suggest following the intructions on the letter by writing to us at:
Lloyds Bank Personal Loans
Lloyds Banking Group
155 Bishopsgate
London
EC2M 3TQ
Thanks,
Craig
Hi Craig/Lloyds, is the above address still valid?0 -
