Found a brilliant side table on ebay for the laptop, got outbid on it of course because I'm still too much of a skinflint. Something will turn up at the price I'm happy with, eventually.

Access to Work are still behind so I want to keep hold of the back payment just in case.

No other news, L!nk will call on Thursday so I've got tomorrow to think about how much to pay them.

Still! no news is good news
  • Give yourself a Christmas present and get that millstone from round your neck. You've increased funds coming in each month so can build up the emergency fund again.

:rotfl: I've got some serious issues, bid on it at £28.50 including p&p and nearly choked when it went to £40 pretty quickly.

It's definitely the first thing on my list though. Just need to get it over and done with :D
  • I meant link not the side table

Oh! LOL, I've got tables on the brain. Yeah I agree but I can't afford all of it, the travel to work money hasn't caught up with itself. Will crunch some numbers today and see how quickly it can get paid.

If there was a real emergency I'd be gutted L!ink had already had it away with it. I do dislike them enough to want it paid off fast though.
  • Why not ask for f&f figure from them? You may be surprised! Also, if there was a real emergency, you'd do what you always do. You'd manage.

You're right, I can do it. £800 is a lot of money but they'd have to leave OH alone for good and it would be good for his security clearances. I've already got them down by about £600, I'll see what they say about full payment.

Oh, my sad little emergency fund :rotfl: we should be fine after January though.

Son & heir picked out his computer upgrade, a £145 graphics card for his games. Not bad at all, quite a cheap christmas if I stick to toys on sale for the three kids we buy for. I'll be going mad answering surveys to pay for them with vouchers.

Right, off to the credit union and do a charity shop trawl for a suitable side table. If there isn't anything at least I'll feel less guilty about ebaying one.

Right, well that's out of the way. Feels good to know we won't have to deal with that company again but I have to get the money out of the credit union on three different days, two down and one to go. Hopefully there will be another day of cleaning this week so it won't cost anything to make the trip. They aren't open weekends.

Nothing in charity shops for a side table and now nothing on ebay either! I'll wait but only because I'm not buying new under any circumstances :rotfl:

Need to make a christmas contribution to the local food bank this week but otherwise no money spent yet. Also I have forgotten to add the monthly standing order to the amount in the credit union so am a wee bit over my estimate.

The bank accounts are in a right mess at the moment, borrowing this for that and the other for something else. Can't wait for it all to settle down.
  • You forgot to mention your celebration dance. You've cleared a debt.
