Joint loan, single cover, split refund??

Hi, I've found a joint loan that my now ex-husband and I took out with Nationwide, which had Insurance added on. The insurance only covered my husband though. We have divorced and I was wondering if we claimed am I entitled to half the refund (if we're successful!) We did not part on good terms, the last PPI I claimed was ordered by the Judge in Court to be split 50:50, but that was joint cover. My ex-husband has run up lots of debts and I think if it goes to him in his name only I won't see a penny! Any advice?
Many thanks

If the insurance was in his name only, then it's his to claim.
The loan itself being in joint names does complicate matters though.
I'd try to avoid court if I were you, it's expensive!0 -
If its a joint loan then redress should be awarded to both, its irrelevant who's name the PPI was in. I assume this is a single premium PPI added to loan, therefore you were both responsible for the payments.
Redress of 50/50 would be right unless loan is in arrears or money still owed then they can apply the whole thing to the debt.0
