Mercedes deal - any good?
I'm looking to lease a new car but I want to keep my initial outlay as low as possible. On the Mercedes website the standard price of their A180 SE is £269 a month over 3 years with a deposit of £2,495.
However, my local dealer has a deal on at the moment and they are doing zero deposit and £299 a month, but it's over 4 years. This still feels pretty good, since the extra £30 a month you are paying is only £1,440 (£1,000 less than standard deposit) although I understand that the depreciation means monthly payments are lower over 4 years than 3 anyway.
Does anyone have any feeling whether this is actually a good deal? Are there any better alternative deals going at the moment?
Also, I've never bought/leased a new car before, can I push the dealer further than this? Should I be able to haggle more than this deal and, if so, how much?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
