I must have tried to grow those on around 4 occasions, had 1 flower in total, there must be a knack but I don't have it.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

i have heard that seed raised plants aren't the best, so what's needed is good, named stock.
I can't vouch for this, but plants I bought from an impeccable source have repeat flowered for me and they're just in pots at the moment.0 -

You may be correct, I've bought these from Parkers in the past who to be honest are normally fine and supply decent bulbs or tubers whichever it is. I also have the same problems with FreesiasI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Hot, dry, sunny, light soil. I've grown them quitely succesfully in large pots in a sunny spot. The ones in the hot border I had to dig some out on occasion they grew like weeds.
Freesias on the other hand, no luck at all.0 -

Yes Freesias, I may get 2 flowers from 15 bulbs. Those 2 seem to regrow next year too inspite of being left outside.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
