I'm so confused

I have the £7 a month contract with Virgin Mobile.

You get

150 free minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data

Now, when you phone 789 from a Virgin phone and push option one you get told what you have left and regarding texts she says this:

unlimited standard texts
unlimited texts to other virgin mobile phones

Why not just condense it in to "You have unlimited texts" ?

I feel there's small print in the "standard texts".

Any ideas? Or am I being paranoid?

They're distinguishing between a standard text and a text containing a picture or other media (MMS) - plus texts to short code numbers.
So a standard text = a text sent to a normal UK mobile number.

Right perfect, that explains it, thanks.

Btw, for anyone as stupid as I am, 150 free minutes is NOT a lot over a month and when you lose your job and start phoning government agencies etc your £7 bill can suddenly turn in to....£54!!!!!!

    Yeap!

An extra £11 a month is quite a lot when you're reliant on a benefit income though ;)

Good luck on the job front OP :)
