Pendant light wiring help

Hello!
I have two sets of wires coming from the ceiling as below -
Wire 1 : A Brown, a Blue and a Green/Yellow.
Wire 2 : A Brown, a Blue and a Green/Yellow.
As far as I know, Brown = Live, Blue = Neutral, Green/yellow = Earth.
I am confused with how to connect my basic pendant lamp there.
Earlier there used to be a Polo2 model of a bathroom lamp with D2 bulb socket, and there's no info about how was it connected.
There's no sleeve on either of the wires to know line/switch.
I tried wiring it as below (sorry for the handmade image, but I hope its readable). It remains always 'on', so looks like the switch is bypassed.
It doesn't allow me to post with images
Can someone please suggest what is the correct way of wiring?
Many thanks in advance. Appreciate any help/guidance.

Cant see your pics as the URL's are invalid, so I'm going to guess based on your description.
One of the cables will be what is called the "loop in", and the other will be what is called the "switch line".
First off you need to identify which one is which, and for that you will need a multimeter.
With the mains power switched OFF at the distribution board, connect your multimeter to the brown and blue conductors of one of the cables, set the meter to continuity check, and operate the light switch.
If you get continuity, that is the "switch line".
If no go, repeat the same procedure for the other cable.
Once you have identified the cables, connect them as below:
Join the two earths (green/yellow) and connect them to the earth terminal in your new light fitting.
Connect the live (brown) wire from the "loop in" to the brown wire of the "switch line"
Connect the neutral (blue) wire from the "loop in" to the neutral terminal of your light fitting.
Connect the remaining blue wire from the "switch line" to the live terminal of your light fitting.
Note that the remaining blue wire should be covered with a brown sleeve, although brown PVC tape will do (this is to let anybody who is working on it in future know that it could be carrying mains voltage).Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Thanks Quiet Spark.
I will arrange for a multimeter and try your suggestion. I will get back with the outcome.
Thanks again.
EDIT:If the <http://> is pre-fixed to the urls, it will take you to the pics.

In your example URL above, use the terminal block marked "Loop" as the junction point for the two brown wires you have.
This will leave you with two blue wires, one of which needs to go to the Neutral in the ceiling rose, and the other which needs to go to the Live.
In terms of functionality it will make no odds as to which one goes where, but in order to wire it correctly you should use a multimeter to ascertain which of the blues is the true neutral so if someone works on it in future they are in no doubt as to which conductor is live.
The remaining two earths (green/yellow) will connect to the earth terminal in the ceiling rose.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

Amazing. I got something to do this evening before the sun sets.
Thanks Quiet Spark. Much appreciated.0 -
In your case you only have one circuit wire and one switch wireYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Thanks Quiet Spark and muckybutt. It worked.
I no more have to use bathroom in dark0
