Post Office Mortgage - Process Concerns

Hi Hope any has been through the same as me recently.
Applied to Post Office for FTB mortgage OVER THE PHONE. Received a pack with full application in, KFI and a letter saying 'agreed in principle' although no figures to suggest how much etc.
Estate agents are chasing for a Mortgage In Principle but speaking to Post Office they say all they provide is this letter, there is nothing that mentions figures. Estate agents on the other hand say they have never heard this before.
The full application has now been sent but they are experiencing high volumes so could take a while before we hear anything and im worried the vendor will get itchy feet and move on.
Anyone been through Post Office Mortgage via phone and advise on their experience?

Don't get yourself in a fuss just because the estate agents are being as stupid as usual.
The vendor can move on any time before exchange that it suits him or her and a few numbers on a piece of paper will not alter that.I am a Mortgage Broker

Interesting how their AIP doesn't state any figures. When we applied online, we were issued a certificate which was their AIP and had the figures on it.
We're going through their process at the moment and are also experiencing delays. There's a much bigger existing PO thread here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5007756Geek by Nature.. Geek by Profession!
