Noddle Credit Searches

Options
Hi Friends,

This is my second post on Noddle guys.

This time, I checked my credit report on Noddle and found that they searched my file twice in past and their name appears on my Search History section.

This is how it prints:

COMPANY -
Callcredit Noddle
PURPOSE -
Consumer Credit File Request
DATE - 19/04/2014

Same appears for March month as well.

I raised dispute over this which was rejected within couple of days with no clarification. I raised it again asking for details. This time I received a rather confusing answer:

I’m emailing in regard to the dispute you recently raised against a search that appears your credit file (dispute no. #####).
The search has been carried out as a result of a consumer credit file request, meaning that it was carried out because you requested to view the data held by Callcredit (either through Noddle or via another service).
It’s common to find searches on a credit report that have been carried out by large organisations on behalf of a smaller company but I hope that, now you have some more information in regard to why this search has been carried out, you do recognise it.
If you’d like some more information about the search please email dispute@noddle.co.uk to let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

I again asked for more clarification. This time I got the reply as below:

Thanks for your email and I apologise that it’s taken us a little while to get back to you.

Please be assured that the ‘Consumer Credit File Request’ search should be showing under ‘Your Searches’ rather than ‘Others’ Searches’. This is a formatting issue which Noddle are aware of and we’re working hard to resolve. This will be why the dispute was rejected and I apologise that it didn’t explain this to you.

Any lenders searching your file shouldn’t be able to see this search and it shouldn’t have any impact on your ability to obtain credit.

I hope this information helps and please let me know if you need anything else.

Now this email explains the reason their name showing on my file.

But, my query is that whether this search appears on my file or not as I can see it's coming on their own credit file report, it may appear on other providers file too.

Could anyone here please help - Has anyone faced this issue? How to make sure it doesn't show to any lenders?

Kind Regards

GS

If they searched your credit file it will be an unrecorded search, just to confirm your identity. It will only be available for you to see. It won't appear on any of the other providers (experian, equifax) because they wouldn't have had a reason to search them.

    I wouldnt worry about it.

Lol.... Everything you request your report, they will do a search of your file to confirm details. Bi one can see the searches but you.
