Hi,
I've been looking at leasing deals lately. I like it generally.
Im conscious that the new Reg comes out in August.
Does anyone know if leasing prices are likely to go up in August for this?
Am I better off plunging in now or can i wait a few weeks?
Thanks
MM

You'll be waiting more than a few weeks. New registrations come out in September and March.0

It will also depend on whether the make of car and model are due for a new version. If say it has had a facelift, the pricing will be different to the current model.
I have had to give 3 months notice for my lease vehicle, TBH, have always been told its a 3 month lead time. Ordered it now, get it in October.0 -

I ordered my Volvo (V60 with D4 engine) in March. Still waiting.0 -
Thanks everyone,
Just to clarify, im not particularly bothered about getting the new Reg, im just wondering if prices will go up when it comes out.
Or is it the case that since the lead times are so long, they're already pricing current deals based on the new Reg?
3 Months is a ridiculous lead time, is that standard?
Thanks

Waited 3 months for a fiesta, although they did email me on 9 weeks to say if i rang them the same day I could have it earlier.....I didn't see the mail in time unfortunately.0

I think it is standard now. Gone are the days where manufacturers stock piled cars, as they knew they would sell. Cars now seem to be like mobile phones, every 6 months there is a new model.
I also put it down to lease companies battering the car makers down so much on price, that the build lead time, is made longer, so they can build cars they have sold at a higher price to Joe public, faster.0 -
Thanks Rustyboy21,
But what about when the lease company say its 'In Stock'?
I presume that would be quicker, or do they just say things are in stock when they're not really?

If you go for a bog standard car in bog standard colours/interior etc, then you may be lucky. These will usually be white, grey, maybe blue.
Any different colours like some of the metallic paints and leather interiors, sat nav fitted as an option etc, will most likely need to be ordered.
I have ordered my new one and have gone for a metallic blue with cream leather interior, black carpets and sat nav and heated seats, so mine is taking a while to come through. But most new cars now, whether they are leased or private sale tend to work on a 12 week lead time.
Hope this helps0
