I'm in the area, what do you like doing, will you have kids with you?
There's lots of walks over the hills and also around the reservoir for the dog.
Decent food at The Gardeners Arms, Cheddar, dog friendly in bar area or garden for eating.
 Where are you staying?
If you have kids, Cheddar has a leisure centre with pool etc
Cheddar Woods holiday park has a go active timetable on their site for kids activites and a spa for adults.
Ages of kids? There's Brean Leisure Park funfair and a newly opened pool complex and there's lots of animal places near by if you have small kids.
Crazy golf, tiny course in the gorge.

Wells market on Wednesday and Sat morning, nice for foodie stuff.0

The football club next door to you for a beer.
The big pub right in the centre of the village, the Bath Arms is opening this week after being shut and refurbed.
The kings head pub at the back end of cheddar is dog friendly and has various music nights.0

Sounds great Claire. Love live music too, your info has given us some ideas0

Well it was the local businesses night tonight at the bath arms (open to public Friday ) apparently very plush so ignore everything on tripadvisor from before. The cider barn also has music on, I think mainly on Sundays.
 Enjoy your visit.
Ps kings head is my local...no food , just very friendly people in a village pub.
