Rivernene was my choice rather than abel + cole because we got more veg in teh box, they were cheaper becuae of this. We dont' get to choose but again, this keeps the cost down. they will leave the box wherever we ask; and will deliver whenever as well. My delivery schedule:

1 med veg box once a month
1 salad box once a month
1 gingerbeer once a month(with the salad box)

I add eggs, yogurt, milk, chocolate, other fruit + veg as needed. I get a box every other week right now. as we arent' always home when it comes I would rather not have meat etc delivered and just left in a box.

I'm looking into getting a box delivered, dh is going away in sept for 14 months and only home at weekend so this would be ideal for me and 2 kids without having to trapes to the shops!

Milk and bread is easy as we freeze it all, and make most of the meals from scratch but I tend to go shopping and buy more stuff:rolleyes:

I think river nene is looking best anyone in bedford? how is the boxes?
    it costs nothing to smile:D

Moneybubbles - we're right on the border of Riverford and River Nene so while we get Riverford our friends nearby get River Nene - the boxes are pretty similar as they're linked companies and the selection imo is pretty good - you can see online what's likely to be in the boxes each week and you can add in extra fruit and veg, milk etc. The quality has always been good - we've only had one thing in a box that was over ripe and on the turn and not only did we get a refund on that we also then got an extra bag of tomatoes the next week in way of apology.

In the winter I tend to set up a fortnightly delivery and get a bigger box but in the summer the salad stuff doesn't last as long (and takes up loads of fridge space) so then I get smaller boxes weekly.
