How To Put More Ram in a Dell 1501

I saw an offer on ebuyer for RAM Crucial Ballistix 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5300 CL3 2.1 V unbuffered non-ECC for £51.99. According to someone on Hotdeals this is very good ram. I was wondering how hard it was to add Ram to a Dell 1501 laptop. I already have 2GB of Ram in it, can it take 4gb and would it be worth doing ?

Use the Crucial guide, I was a novice on upgrading but found it really easy.

according to this you only have 2 memory slots with a max of 1gb per slot, do the scan to make sure

The Hotdeals ram is 240 pin. Laptops generally require 200 pin ram. As mjmal51 suggests, use the Memory Advisor Tool at http://www.crucial.com/uk/ to find the correct ram for your laptop.
