Tesco bank Direct Debit limits?

Hello
I have opened 2 Tesco saving accounts (internet saver & instant access). I have set up 8 direct debits on each savings account to move money in. Today I tried to set up another direct debit, but both accounts failed with the same message. I can't remember the exact message, but was said something like further checks would be required and they would come back to me within 5 days.
I'm wondering if I have hit a maximum limit on direct debit allowed. Can you have more than 8?

Similar thing happened to me a while back. Tesco rang me. I told them why I was setting up DDs. They accepted this and allowed me to continue.
There is no limit as far as I know.0 -
only time I had a problem was when the name on the sending and receiving accounts were different0
