There is a warning on the quidco page about people fraudulently claiming pru quidcos having their quidco accounts closed... does it warn this for all quidco partners or only the Pru, is this a sign that Pru has cottoned on to the fact people were coming back year after year?

Going back year after year is not against the rules*. Thats no different to making multiple puchases from any vendor.Claiming cashback on policies for other people would be

*The warning says "Any members reported to us as applying to Prudential with fraudulent details or intent to deceive will have their Quidco account and earnings terminated without notice. There will not be prior notice." - Going back multiple years isn't mentioned.

This site is only as good as its contributors want it to be. I am looking for info on quidco/pru as you can see.... I am finding posts by virtually everyone who not only do not explain what the circumstances of the application were but also do not come back to update.

    Lorian,
It may mean that to you and me, but the companies will take a different view. For example Tesco Insurance used to offer deals to newcomers, they soon classed returning customers as not "newcomers" because they realised people were claiming the freebies year on year.

The post you quoted me on was to someone who tried and failed to get a "renewal" quidco, the user did not come back and update so we are still in the dark if they have stopped this now.

Specifically do you mean the issue of claiming cashback for multiple car insurance policies at the same time?, or with regard to renewing when you already hold a policy with them?

If you go through quidco though you are not renewing, you are taking out a new policy, it'll have a new policy number. That way you get the free breakdown cover too, assuming they are still running it. One policy ends, other one starts. Can't see what the problem is with that, but IANAL.

You might of course feel a little strange about posting prudential their own renewal notice to prove entitlement to NCD, but there is no fraud going on here I can see. It doesn't say the quidco cashback is only for people who have never held a policy with Priduential before!

I mean everything (I am doing research, I like to be thorough), if people say something like "I did the same" or "same thing happened to me" it does not tell the reader anything, people need to explain what they are talking about. But the most important thing is to update when your situation is finalised or you have complained and complained and got no response.

It doesn't say very much at all, that's the problem there are no t&c's afaics. But to repeat again, the poster I replied to said he did not get his 'renewal' tracked, I am just asking him and everyone else to update on the situation. We don't know until he does update what the resons given were for not tracking it, or if he got it tracked in the end.

Car insurance through the Pru worked for me about three months ago - £153 with £130 cashback tracked quickly and now paid, so net cost £23. Zero excess but no free green flag (didn't need it anyway). Very pleased with it

My 1 and only dealing with Prudential insurance didnt track.

Sent an enquiry and this is now marked as sent to merchant. Seems I could have a very long wait ahead of me before I possibly get paid.
