Buying Furniture from Harvey's Furniture

(Not sure if this is the right area?)

Just watch out with Harvey's Furniture, I placed a order for some Furniture and it was not cheap, Decided that I didn't like that set and then cancelled the order to then order the one I wanted from Harvey's after visiting the store, however they told me that web orders take 30 days to cancel and to get a refund.

Guess what, I will not be ordering £3500 worth of Furniture from Harveys and once I get a refund back from MBNA I will go else where.

Is that legal to keep your money for 30 days. I cancelled the order the following day.

They said its in the terms and conditions but its now been 9 days since I cancelled the order and no refund yet.

Specifically, they say "within 30 days".

But you must have been happy with that when you entered into the contract to purchase?

Yes, But my question is that should it take 30 days to get a refund and on the phone she told me I would get my money back in 30 days time.

Who knows. But it's what you signed up to, so you can't complain now.

That's the law, to refund within 30 days.

I'm surprised MBNA are giving you a refund though, as they are only jointly liable for your consumer rights, which have not been breached.

The OP means when Harvey's refund the money onto their MBNA card. As you say, there is no case for MBNA to refund it themselves.
