Hello there, I'm seeking some advice. Before I go any further, I stay I'm scotland and I'm aware done laws are different. In march this year, I received a parking charge notice from Euro car parks, for over staying my time at morisons car park. I ignored the £90 fine until they sent me another letter threatening to pass it on to a debt collector. And I ignored that also, then roxburghe uk sent me a letter wanting more money (fees) for not paying, threatening that I could get taken to court and my credit will be effected. I ignored that also, now I've received a letter from gladstone solicitors wanting more money and saying that I could be taken to county court and my credit will be effected for 6 years. I'm seriously fed up with scare tactics, all I want to know is... If these are scare tactics and nothing will come to it.. Or if I should be worried, any help is appreciated, thanks.

a. It's not a fine
b. As you're in Scotland you can ignore just as long as you haven't told them who the driver was
c. Yes, they are scare tactics - that's the idea
d. Have a wee dram to celebrate that you haven't been conned"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
You haven't received a letter from Gladstone's, you've received another letter from Poxburghe pretending to be from Gladstone's.
Scotland = ignore. They will give up and go away soon.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Thanks very much, nice simple comments straight to the point, thanks for the advice.0

Yup - PPCs can't do anything if you don't contact them as they can't identify the driver - and even if they do, meaningful action is about as rare as hens-teeth, so stop worrying and IGNORE.
If you search-out the pre-POFA letter chain thread in this forum, you will get a fair idea of the rubbish they will send over the next few months.0 -
A sheriff would be concerned with any losses Morrisons suffered, but as you shopped there they didn't. They operate a devious scam with the parking company to bleed extra money out of shoppers. Ignore it. But it just shows what an organisation Morrisons is. If you are still concerned please message me. I will 'buy' the 'debt' off you and deal with it. Problem solved.0
