so i keep reading that people cant see any ppi on agreements etc so therefore they must not have had it, beware (read my 1st success ppi thread)
i had a small loan in 04 worked full time had work benefits so i knew i wouldnt take ppi out on such a tiny loan, with my bank at the time barclays, however ive done alot of research and seems mis selling was more higher 2006 and under , so i decided even though i had no paperwork or evidence i would fill out barclays online ppi questionnaire explaining about the loan no other details except i never had ppi on it and i wouldnt agree to it in fact never saw any ppi paperwork on my loan etc, so when they sent a letter saying they are investigating it i fully expected a letter telling me i was correct and no ppi, so imagine when i opened my post this morning to find a cheque of near £400 and a letter saying i had been mis sold and there sorry heres your money case closed (unless im not happy) but i am , im glad i filled it out had a feeling since i read in those days it was either added without consent or pushed into a sale, so my advise , forget claims management if you find no evidence its worth a quick letter , if i hadnt they would have been sitting on my money that i had no idea they took...waiting on 2 other ppi claims that i knew i had but again most likey mis sold as they told me nowt about it just that i needed it, keep you posted on those as i think there going the whole nine yards
also got a bank charges on the go , if in doubt give it a go :j
title is mis worded sorry new to this, basically my point was at the time of sale i wasnt informed nor do i remember seeing any ppi on the agreement unless it was it such small writing so if in doubt check with the bank
wont let me edit the title but thanks guys for pointing out my blondness :P

If it's not on the loan agreement, there is no PPI. It is not hidden. Your thread title is misleading.sparklemoo29 wrote: »so i keep reading that people cant see any ppi on agreements etc so therefore they must not have had it,
This is key, the PPI wasn't therefore "hidden" because you had nothing to check.sparklemoo29 wrote: »i had no paperwork or evidence
Well done on your success.:Tsparklemoo29 wrote: »i opened my post this morning to find a cheque of near £4000 -
Agree with above. Well done on your success but your post has nothing to do with the subject title and you say you didnt have paperwork.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

bear with the newbie i so did word it the wrong way so it indeed looks mis leading, what i meant to say is i didnt sign for any ppi and they obviously whacked it on without me knowing as when i had the agreement there was nothing about ppi that i recall unless it was in mini writing i shall edit the title

bear with the blonde :P i meant when i took out the loan in branch i read nothing on the agreement or couldnt see it about ppi neither did i agree to it obviously it was in there somewhere prob in that tiny lettering :P ive edited the post but cant change the title :P it was by chance that i filled out the form as my instinct was telling me to do it, they held there hands up and bluntly told me its was mis sold and slapped on there all good for me in the end , waiting on 2 others that i know did have ppi, bottom line is to check if in doubt:)0
