Lloyds claiming I have ran out of time

Lloyds initially rejected my complaint so took it to the ombudsman last year after numerous calls checking up on this finally got a reply from the bank to say it was out of the period for taking the complaint further I've been in touch with the company g originally went with & they have sent me all paperwork from lloyds dates seen fine by me so going to write reply tomorrow

Anyone got any advice?

On what basis are Lloyds saying you are "out of time"?

You need to be far clearer about the timescales involved.

    When did you first complain?

How long afterwards did you approach the Ombudsman?

Did the Ombudsman accept the complaint referral?

Did you use a claims management company?

What timebar are they trying to apply?

Three years from first being notified or that you took longer than 6 months to refer it to the FOS?

Can you explain how you were able to refer your complaint to the Ombudsman a full twelve months after your initial complaint was rejected? Normally, FOS only allow six months from the date of rejection.
Rather than drip feed us information, why not post the whole story?
