Green deal home improvements
Hi guys,
Does anyone have any experience with the green deal home improvements scheme?
I had my cavity walls insulated for free under this scheme and now the company that carried out the work are offering an a class boiler replacement plus flue gas recovery system which carries a £1000 government grant.
Research suggests good energy savings from the deal but I now have the house rented out? Does anyone know whether this would still be a viable option? Would it really be a worthy deal or would I simply be reducing the tenants energy costs and taking on a new direct debit?!

The main thing to be aware of it will not be you paying it back. It will be your tenants through their electricity bill. This may put people of renting from you.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

That is wrong the op is asking about the home improvement fund not a green deal plan.
It is pretty simple you install a boiler and flue gas heat recovery device pay for it then get 1000 cashback.
This is not means tested it is open to everyone including landlords.
It is a good deal and go for it whilst the money is there, as it a going quickly!"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
