Barclaycard

Hi all
I applied for an Initial Barclaycard and was told they would get back to me as they just wanted to check a couple of things.
#This was via an automated response.
Thats all fine.
My question is:
This morning I got a text from Barclaycard saying by Barclaycard was being sent out and I would receive it in 2 days (or 2 working days) I cant remember which.
Is this a real and official text from Barclaycard?
Do they send these sort of texts out?
I just wanted to know for sure.
I guess I could have just waited to see if I received anything in the post but I thought somebody might be able to advise me.

They do send texts if you gave them your mobile number. We get a text when our statement is ready. Hope this helps?

My Barclaycard initial application was the same, applied, they said they need to do additional checks. After 3-4 business days I received my approval email with my Barclaycard online login. On the next day i received text message that my card was sent and on the other day my card was waiting for me at home. So 1 business day after the text message. All legit.

I didnt get any emails or log in details just the text
